How good is that pint?

What can you say? The effort was imense. Assuming a victory Harris arrived not expecting the welcome they recieved. Hey hey. As soon as I see opposition like that, I see red. They must have wondered what had hit them.
Owen Hughes did a great job as Captain, expect for the intercepting kick that must have gained us at least -5 metres. I owe you guys a jug for giving away a penatlty. At least it was for fighting not for coming in from the wrong side. Makes a change!

I think the forwards now realise the work in presenting good clean ball for the backs reaps dividends.

Its great being a member of CHSFPRFC

Next season should be good.

Great effort

Well done to everyone after such a poor show at Montrose we seem to have evolved where instead of giving up we end up back at the drawing board. The whole lot of us.

After a 60 nil victory against Bannockburn we have a true test against Harris on Saturday. A home game where we guard our 100% home league record. Don't tempt fate Peter. Well its up to us we all need to stand up and be counted. The first game against Harris was a very close call.

Whistle blows its 80 minutes of hard work mentally and physically. Its hard to explain but we have a choice we are 80 mins from the shore the boat is sinking do we bail with every ounce of energy we have, and have a pint at the harbour bar or do we commit 95% of our effort and sink.

Come on Carnoustie.

Remember the 18th of April .The Alternative Carnoustie open. Which looks like its going to be a great event for the golfers amongst us.
Something mentioned already on the blog the rules of engagement.
Enjoy.

I'm a philistine I would need to see a shrink if I did 18 holes.

Stair lift.

I think I need one. Are you playing on Saturday? Have you hung your boots up?
What's happened to the Blog?
No
Yes
I have had a hard month, not getting much time with my family and friends. Its great to be up at training on Tuesday. All I needed was a help back into my van at the end. I think I have ran out of cartilage in every joint.
After our trip to Montrose we scurried back to our liar to lick our wounds and get pissed.
Nothing has changed the banana splits should sponsor us http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2se2I70CJ0

We feel like the only team to have the banana skins mapped out in front of us and still fall flat on our backs.
Nothing has changed Panmure beat us at home years ago. All we had to do was win, on paper everything was stacked against Panny. Well we didn't see the pesky skin in front of us and missed out on promotion.

The whole thing is a learning curve. We need to realise our expectations. How do we do it? By digging in and not giving up. Sounds simple but it comes with age. Along with a Stair lift.

Another gripe for me is Grant complaining at training on Tuesday. He said how come you lot have all the big guys. Well Grant it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference with your display of tackling and humiliation of big men.
Your a machine. Stair lift for Christie no sausage for Heather.

Enough of moaning Owen has come up with a great idea. Why don't Carnoustie make an effort and maybe enter a couple of 7s tournament's. I would be happy to go along to represent the team at various bars. In all seriousness we could have a pretty decent team.

Our October tour of France well Maule. We had a show of hands on Saturday looks like we could be touring this year. A proper tour with like a game of rugby and maybe two. What the Cardiff ''tour'' doesn't include a game of rugby for Carnoustie.

This tour could be called a Credit cruncher, plus Maule has a strange ratio of 4 females to 1 male. Its amazing. The final date to be arranged. Its going to be cheap and fun.

Cheers
Peter
