Once it’s in the blood it’s impossible to rid.Since a school boy I have had a passion for CHSFPRFC.
Sounds like some sort of food colouring.
Carnoustie High School former pupils rugby football club through its relatively short history has had amazing peaks and troughs. I have wadded in the troughs many a time and enjoyed the peaks with such pleasure.
With this blog I'm hoping to introduce characters and happenings within the club past and present.
To start the ball rolling at the moment our coach is John Murphy the most dedicated individual I have ever met. A top guy. On his shoulders the responsibility for success and failure, one he takes very seriously.
Stephen Esposito the Club Captain a man who boxes well above his weight. Sometimes his sense of humour is lost on certain individuals, but not on me LOL. He is a master of his craft having studying the complete works of Dr Scott Purdom.
The playing population at the club is fairly small which probably is not dissimilar to other lower division clubs.Hopefully this year we will be trying to reintroduce good old fashioned values. Values that were precious to our success in the past. Team spirit and some Après fun on a Saturday evening.
This Saturday we welcome Atholl Rugby club.
It has been brought up that there have been certain individuals not applying the rules and regs on the Golf ball gameRules of engagement Golf ball game
1 The ball must be placed in a full pint in the possession of the owner.
For example placing the ball in an empty glass and asking the
Barman/Lady to fill it up constitutes a punishment at the Captains
discretion. ( A bad idea)
2 Placing the ball in a ‘’Ladies’’ glass is only acceptable in a ½ pint
glass or less.
