Home and Away

Just a quick note.
Harris versus Carnoustie or Carnoustie versus Harris. Same same.
12 miles up the road lovely pitch in this encounter a home advantage doesn't count for a lot.
The Harris pitch is a pleasure to play on.

12 o'clock meet at the club ready for battle.

I won't see you on Thursday, but look forward with great anticipation to Saturday.

To win the game on Saturday means having a belief in teams ability. We've shown in parts this season that there is enough skill and commitment to do it....lets see it on Saturday. Success breeds success!!

Nothing new there from the Voice of Reason … like that word COMMITMENT.

No matter what season it is, it’s always a core of willing players keeping the team playing reasonably well and a few who don’t train and hold the team back.

A few seasons back great defensivly and couldn’t score tries …. the league table showed that.

This year lack of fitness and injury preventing us showing of our undoubted skills …. the table shows we’re the best of the rest and are a wee bit off 1st and 2nd and a couple off losses of 8th or 9th.

Go on Spartacus …. show us what you and the team can do, get all the gus who aren’t around at training there again training as a whole team, get committed to training and playing, get behind the coaches and beat Harris, Alloa, Waid and Atholl as you know you can.

Is Carnoustie going to lie dormant for ever or erupt in the next few seasons, get a policy through the club and prove to be THE CLUB and TEAM that everyone is talking about and wants to play for ??????

GO ON GUYS PROOVE IT !!!!!

Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose (Bill Gates).

Think out of the box but within the team.

Lets enjoy Saturday, Good Luck to all.

I hope Bill Gates is playing No.8 for Harris then........we can mess him up, i hear he is a poor tackler!

Bill Gates wont be there on Saturday, apparently he has a pretty serious virus, he caught it when someone launched a trojan horse up his back door, sounds painful. On a serious note, getting slightly pissed off with some comments about our intentions & ambitions on the pitch, all from one person, who if they made themself known might be taken semi seriously rather than hiding behind a computer firing off bullshit remarks. I find it quite insulting towards the players & coaching/management team. There's a good buzz in the team just now which Billy & Pete have done wonders to create...naturally. Together they are pointing the team in the right direction. What seems to be forgotten is that even though we want to do the best we can this season, this is our stepping stone for next season. Compare our performances & team spirit now to what it was during the early part of the season & during the pre season games, it's obvious we're drastically improving. The worst case scenario for us now is to remain 4th in the league & not progress any further, we want 3rd & when we get that, we'll look towards 2nd. Our worst case scenario now is probably above expectations by the majority of the club if they were asked at the start of the season how the team would do....that's progress. It's all very well using this blog as a sounding off machine to say "do this" & "do that" but there are guys within the club already putting in a lot of effort trying to do all they can. As a club we need to get ourselves out of the past & stop comparing ourselves to the glory days or the dark days & start looking to the future, because if we dont, our biggest opposition every week will be ourselves. You can please some of the people all of the time & you can please all of the people some of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time. Peace! There was a sighting of the beast in Dundee at the weekend. Glimpsed at Elliot Road and then scattered reports of sightings on the Perth Road........can it be unleashed at Will or does it disappear into the shadows as soon as it rears it's head? Time will tell, but I hope it appears on Saturday!
