No training this Thursday big squad session Saturday

I have just had a look down the comments on the last post. We can all see that perhaps a certain lapse has occurred, or there aren't that many of us in the first place. All it takes is a few injuries and a wee virus hanging about.
I have been knackered for weeks and I know how it feels.

This Saturday we are looking forward to a big turn out. Committed players need only apply. Such as Craig Dawson his commitment is second to none.
If we look at players who attended Tuesday night. Owen Hughes lives close to Glamis 16.7 miles one way. Carbon footprint 8 kg (big Jag)
Craig Dawson Redford 7.44 miles one way. 2.59 kg carbon footprint (big GTI)
Danny Johannes Van Wyk 12 miles Dundee O carbon footprint (bike)

I stood there on Tuesday and felt a true moment of guilt when someone who will remain anonymous (due to his modesty) said ''come on guys lets do our best tonight for Bill even though the numbers are low''. Well said that man. Another guilty moment occurred when you tally up the effort in miles of the above players. I could almost bet at least one sad monkey was sitting in his living room watching Eastenders. Hormone therapy maybe needs to be applied.

We are all equal as club members, but for players really, all you have to do is turn up, listen, train hard and apply the thoughts of the coach. Which in my humble opinion isn't that difficult.
The coaching is excellent thank you Bill.

Again when your watching Eastenders remember the others who travel on a very regular basis.
Bruce, Gav, Stuart travel from Arbroath large effort/distance/ large footprint.
The list could go on on and on. Craig Anderson and hopefully his brother again.

Remember the up and coming Saturdays bring our biggest games of the year.

Please feel free to add positive comments.

All I have to say to you is
Floccinaucinihilipilification

Fitting Just saying that you come up with a lung disease as a response. Just think how good you could be if you didn't smoke, you might even have made it into John's 3rds!! Only joking, don't resign.
Not sure what Pete is terming as worthless with his use of the elongated English language but if it's the winter dedication to training, he appears to be correct. Think back to the start of the season and what was said at the meeting that most attended.
- Yes we want to be a rugby team and not a pub team
- Yes we will commit and train and make it happen
There is a lot goes on in the background to keep this ship on course (more than I realised anyway) and we rely on the "elite" of the club to show the same when our product hits the shelves on a Saturday.
Think about this....it was working! Over the last few games the results have been good. Ok, no-one like to lose (or you shouldn't even turn up in my view). Our home form has been good and our away form has been the best we could do given player availability. Hats off to those who filled in (Alec etc) but have we given up now or will there be a push to grab a 3rd place slot. As they say, the decision is yours. Us "oldies" can only help the "elite" to be able to play....the rest is up to you.

Something that people who watch Eastenders may consider worthless.

O to be in charge of the BBC.

Change of subject

A suicide bomber runs into a pet shop and yells, 'you've all got 30 seconds to get out!'
The tortoise at the back of the shop shouts, 'you cu*t !'

Guys. Some of this stuff is amazing, really. I have to say though that we must focus on the games. It's a team effort and the few can't carry the many!

Well said baldy.
Look forward to seeing you at training today.
A reminder 'it was not build in a day!, but they never had to work in the snow.

Great session today, hopefully we can use this stuff and be a dominant force on the park, would be much easier to do so if we were all there though. In case any of you have forgotten, I'm Spartacus!

What is it with you guys and Spartacus?? A slave who had a little glory but ultimately failed. Lets focus on Harris, they're real come Saturday afternoon!

Really looking forward to the game on Saturday - we have to do it guys!!! If we go out focused and play as 'a team' I think we can do it. Remember, not too much 'white line fever' as individuals - there might be someone better placed just on your outside!!! If we play the same way we played against Montrose & Arbroath, we'll have nothing to worry about!!! That was 'good' rugby.
p.s. I'm not Spartacus

Spartacus, Spartasuc, SpartaPrague, SpartacMoscow, Harris this week, Alloa next doesn’t really matter.

What really matters for now is one club (our club), one goal, one direction (on and off the park), everyone (past and present) pulling in that direction, more players and members joining and coming back to our club and good communication.

Where do you want our club to be in a couple of years time and how are we all going to get there ????

What Grant Linnen is saying is very true. We are becoming one club for the Future, well said!

Lets see you all at training tonight as there are plenty of core drills and set plays to be worked for Saturday.

Lets give Harris a game on Saturday.

Currently you're all at training - I'm home making spicy chicken wings/chilli - tex mex kinda thing. I know my place???!!! I would be delighted if my time spent cookin' and yours spent training, was equally constructive. Tomorrow will tell....will that brilliant little backs move come off on Saturday; will the forwards ruck Harris off the ball; will certain person(s) be seek tomorrow following the chicken wings.....only time will tell!!! Also looking forward to the pub crawl down the old stomping ground of Perth Road - Mennies to the Phoenix! Not as many pubs as there used to be but still some good pubs.......

I AM SPARTACUS!! Good session last night. I really felt those 3 30 second sprints that Billy made us do (but I won't be going balls out on te first one the next time he tries it on us!). Where does he get this stuff from? I must work on my fitness and abs or I won't look good on the cross when the Romans catch up with me. But first, we must deal with Harris. Really looking forward to the game on Saturday. We will beat them if we play as a team and follow Mummy's advice.
One thing from last night, we need to encourage each other especially the youngsters Nae Thumbs, Rosco and Jonny Fartpants and not criticise when we cock it up. The training pitch is the time when mistakes are tolerated so we get it right on the day. See you all tomorrow. Let's have a max turnout. I even think that Murph might get his boots out on Saturday, he's obviously missing it too much...just saying like man, just saying.

Ha Ha, you think I'm Grant Linnen .... wrong.

Good to see you all working hard and getting things worked out on the training park.

Spartacus your'e right need to be fit to play good rugby, so what are you and the team going to do about it ?

What's happened to all the others who are not training now ? Could have enough for 2 or 3 teams if every one (oldies and youngies)were to turn up and make themselves available.

The Murph back he could captain and play centre for the 3rd's.
