Here we go again were not talking about past glories etc etc.
As has already been discussed top 1st 15's, league campaigns, and cup finals. Did you say finals as in two or more, yes but that's history,
Bill and I were talking about the elusive 2nd 15. Is it possible? Well on paper it seems so. It all hinges on people who can't or don't want to train, guys who want to have a bit of fun, young lads who want to get a bit of experience in the art of cheating, before stepping up to a new level of gamesmanship etc etc. Historically oops, we have had a great 2nds winning the 2nds league and ultimately taking the piss out of the 1st's.
The future of the club lies in two teams to achieve sustainable success. Who knows what lies ahead. Look around and unless your a dumb ass you can see loads of keen young lads that will be the future. God help them if they achieve success they won't be able to talk about it .LOL
The near future, besides Saturdays game is the festive period and the infamous dook. Bruce and I talked at length, on how we can maximise the event to benefit a good cause and the club. Before we collected for a young lad called Innes Wilson. If we could do something like this again it would be great.
Lets put more effort into the Future.
I'm away for a piss, that's me back, although I'm not going to talk about it.

You wouldn't happen to be per chance having a go at one of my comments Pete, are you, lol? Just so you know, I haven't done anything about the dook, really didn't know where we left it & what was to happen next & time is becoming the enemy now. Lets hope you can teach the young uns how to cheat their way to be the last person in the sea for the dook, you are the master of that! If you've any aspirations of staying in there longer than me this time, you'll have to use stubborness & hypothermia to see you through;)
Are there rules for the dook as well? It took long enough to agree the golf ball rules, heaven help us all!
Since Derek Balharry passed away recently how about The Stroke Association for the dook collection. Derek was a stalwart of Angus Colts and Arbroath and will be a big loss to local rugby.
