I forgot that sometimes when you play rugby it can be enjoyable (2nd row)
Carnoustie went to Pitlochry (Athol) last Saturday. We won 28-12. Another away victory. That was great news, the best part of the day for me was arriving at the ground to be met by this ancient wooden pavilion. I like that sort of thing. Then looking around we couldn't have wished to be in better surroundings.
We arrived with 15 players, obviously without the luxury of subs. The team played well enough and possibly are learning the art of victory. The line out worked really well. A combination of accurate throwing and well executed jumping. The backs this season have been working off of scraps. Maybe their scrap ration is on the up. Is that a swallow I see, and its not even spring.
Hats off to the front row they had their work cut out and refused to loose. Craig walked off thinking he didn't match his opposite number. This self criticism obviously indicates everything about wanting to improve. In your defense your young and we haven't really had any quality time on the scrummaging machine.
Tony thanks for keeping the 15 going even though you probably needed to go off for the head injury on the park and the lager injury from the night before. Nice try.
Whats ahead on the horizon Panny on Saturday. Lets make up for the last game. Again the sticking record says.
More numbers are needed at training
