That everyone hates us. Almost every game seems to be a Derby probably has something to do with most teams being local (Q Sherlock Holmes comments). Or is there some sort of unjust jealousy that people think that just because we live on the Scottish Riveria we are superior. For any foreigners reading, its hot on the beach why don't you join us http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hELG84lcSLg.
Thanks to Bruce for giving the blog a far greater respectability than previous and future ramblings. He made a great point about all the people who make an efffort to come our games thanks all. I know it can be more than painful.
Saturdays game I think proved that underneath the veneer there is a steely resolve . I arrived at Rosyth straight from Edinburgh airport after a lovely weeks holiday. I phoned Espo and told him I would be there. The only thing I didn't have was my boots. I said if he wanted to break into my house my kit bag was in the kitchen. Guess what my bag arrived.
When I went into Fife Southerns club the Steward said there was a fair amount of water on the pitch. Some peoples idea of a fair amount of water is different from mine. When I finally went on to the pitch I realised why everyone was short of pace. It was due to the fact that they were sinking into 8 inches of mud.
We fought tooth and nail and the final score was 6-6 thank you to Chris for the points. A great effort by all. There was no glamour but loads of passion.
Passion I think is something we will need on Saturday. When Arbroath come to Carnoustie. We all know that both teams want to win. No doubt Arbroath will be trying to revive a poor start to the season.
