¡Hola Big Yin!Good to hear from you. All well and although its id a bit early to be doing the Spanish thing and picking olives we content ourselves with doing the SCots thing and pick our noses.I have seen the Murph's best team lists. We have had some good players throughout the years. However, what you are asking about is the best team
Having, a pool of twenty great players need not necessarily make a great team.In my opinion, for the little it is worth, the best team that ever came out of Carnoustie was the Carnoustie High School 1st XV of 1981-82.Now that was a TEAM.Not all would have gone on to be good Senior players although most did and did well. However, the spirit, the ethos, the idea of Team was so good that but for some biased home refereeing in one game we would have swept the board that season. In the FP set-up perhaps the closest we came to achieving a team was the 97-98 season. Unfortunately therein were guys who never really came to grips with the idea of team.Close, but no ceegar!Team? It is a damned elusive thing for which I think nobody knows the formula.Tam

Na na na! Best team out of Carnoustie High surely had to be the 93/94 TEAM, quality mix of players who gelled well & stuck together well throughout the 4yrs of playing for the school & being undefeated in 90/91 was brilliant considering that we weren't always playing diddy teams.
Was that the same ''team'' that put teachers off coaching a school 1st 15 until year 2008.
At least you worked as a team to achieve that result LOL.
Can't believe I am agreeing with "Big Tam" but it's true.......I'll take a good team over a group of individuals every time. If you win as a team it's a great feeling but even if you lose you can all get pissed together and have a laugh, rather than moaning about it and "blamestorming".......blame Bruce, that what I say!!!!
One more point about Tams Team
you wouldn't want to meet them up a dark alleyway. LOL
Some seriously bad men in the making. There was me as well.
It was a rich tapestry we even had a gay who was as hard as a whores heart.
Blame Bruce f*&k all, scapegoat more like!!! If we want to set up a blame culture, I'd more than happily write a blog pointing blame at those who need it, all the way from 15 to 1 & more, instead of calling it "blamestorming", I could change the name to "shitstirring"! I left school in 1994, not responsible for a 14 year gap in school rugby!
The joy of democracy. A level soapbox for blamestorming. Thats a great term.
Maybe I'm a bit harsh. I don't think we can blame Bruce for a teachers work to rule.
Which Bruce are we blaming is it Low or Langlands, because if its Low I'm all for it.LOL
If Bruce was responsible for all the teachers in the UK working to rule hats off to you.
Calm down dear....it's only a commercial!! Such passion off the field is good to see....long live Pete's Blog. I actually meant that you are the club scapegoat Bruce, or so it seems. It makes you wonder though.......did your birth coincide with the teachers strike and the demise of school rugby? Have you checked for digits under your hair? LOL
